Community Next ConferenceFriday, January 5, 2007
If you’re looking for an excellent conference to attend this year you’re pretty lucki you’re reading this. I’ve been helping Noah organize the premiere conference about the present and future of online network and communities. Odds are, if you’re reading this you’re familiar with websites like Facebook, HotorNot, and Threadless. This conference will have speakers and attendees representing each of them (and many more). Community Next will be held February 10th at Stanford University and the early bird prices is $195 ($20 for a limited number of students). More information and a discount code after the jump…
Speakers and Attendees
As mentioned, there will be some awesome people speaking at the conference. Guy Kawasaki, James (HotorNot), Jeff and Jake (Threadless), Ted (Dogster), Premal (Kiva.org) Tara Hunt (Citizen Agency) and the list goes on and on.
In fact, it can be found right here.
Psst, don’t tell anyone I told you this but soon we’ll have our own community of attendees on the site. You can sign up, create a profile and meet some of the awesome people (like yours truly) that will be gracing us with their presence.
You can see the full line-up here but in short: you’ll get to hear about the successes of online communities from the founders themselves. There are discussions on brands, building communities, the tools you can use, how to make them profitable, how to fulfill niches, and so on.
There will be a drinks on Friday night before the conference and drinks the night after the conference. With that said, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet some cool people. So, it’s time to sign up. Right now early-bird tickets are $195 but if you thrown in discount code ‘devin’ you’ll get $45 off at checkout. Let me know if you’re planning to come.
