great in many respects there are fatal shortcomings for me. this phone will not synch with Outlook 2007. Its incompatible. It will not pair with Tomtom sat nav – its incompatible. It is not supported by certain telephone banking systems. Too many shortcomings for me – have changed it for something less pretty but more able to work with the rest of the world.

Fair comment, Dillon. You’re right, I have no ’square one’ so perhaps the novelty is part of the review. I still think some of the unique things (the Pearl) are definitely good features, though.
