I've actually spoken with Jon and he's done a nice job making things simple (for the most part). I've also talked to students who thought this would be extremely helpful if done properly. So I was thinking about just such a project but am, unfortunately, not a coder. Setting out on a silly obsessive compulsive project, I've decided to inventory my /modest/ library and decided to see if someone else had come to the same conclusion I had that this can't be that hard and had actually put it all together. I've come across many that let you type in the info and it takes care of the formatting, but few that use ISBN to take care of the bulk of work. I did find That's Crazy Hot and also this one: http://mlagen.sourceforge.net/ - unfortunately seems to keep freezing on the search Despite how easy this would make every student's life, I agree that it might be a hard idea to sell. If you have a parser for the MARC record, that's an easy way to go. (There are several out there.)
